Tuesday 1st October – Great Cressingham Victorian School
An amazing woman named Sally North has spent years putting on an experience of a life time for school children all over Norfolk. It really gives you a memorable experience of being a Victorian School Child. The school is authentic and so are their costumes. It is filled with artefacts from the Victorian era and their roles are superb. They told the children all about some of the things the children would have gotten up to; all the time, staying in role.
The children went back to the year 1899 – 2 years before the Victorian era ended. They had lessons in spelling, reading and maths, as well as drawing and learning about the world. They enjoyed break times, lunch and were separated into boys and girls for a specific lesson. This was an amazing day where the children got to be Victorian school children.
Thank you to the parents who dressed their child so well and packed them a lovely Victorian lunch.
